AUDITION INFORMATION:

Auditions will be held this Saturday, September 7, 2024 at CSUB (9001 Stockdale Hwy) in the Music Building

The Music building is next to the Dore Theater

Use the code below for the parking permit

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your audition time to check-in and warm-up

Follow the signs and check-in at the table when you enter the building

Bring your audition scales and music

You will also be required to sight-read music during your audition

The Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra remains an affiliated group of the Bakersfield Symphony, operating under its board of directors with able assistance from manager Gemi Acupan. It is comprised of students ranging in age from seventh grade through their first year of undergraduate college. This audition-only ensemble attracts highly-motivated and talented young students and performs high-level orchestral repertoire. Under the musical direction of Dr. Leo Sakomoto, the Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra performs three concerts per year.
